US-24 Corridor

US-24 is a key corridor connecting the eastern half of the FHMPO region, from Wamego to Manhattan to northern Riley County.  In 2009, growth along the corridor resulted in the US-24 Corridor Study (see below), in partnership between KDOT, Pottawatomie County, and the City of Manhattan.  This study outlined safety, access management, and traffic solutions.  Since the adoption of the document, over $12 million dollars in projects have been funded and constructed.

The US-24 Corridor Committee meets semi-annually to discuss current and upcoming projects and local jurisdictional needs and concerns.  Meeting agendas and minutes are available below.
